He played Alan Bennett opposite Susan Hampshire in Bennett’s ‘The Lady In The Van’ for The Theatre Royal, Bath. He has filmed on Arctic ice floes in ‘Shackleton’ with Kenneth Branagh and in Russia and Ukraine for ‘Sharpe’ with Sean Bean.
