Alan is a writer, actor and director who trained at the Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre. He spent two and a half years playing PC Nick Slater in The Bill (1984) and has appeared in a variety of TV shows and films, including "Peep Show", "The Borgias" and the feature film, "Honour". As a writer, working with co-writer James Allen, he recently wrote on "Stan Lee's Lucky Man" and has several projects in development, including the feature film, "The Son".
