He is the best known for his roles as Robert the Bruce in the historical epic Braveheart, Vice-Counsel DuPont in the science fiction film Equilibrium, Jeff Denlon in the horror film Saw III, and Robert Rogers in the historical drama series Turn: Washington's Spies.
