Born Liu Kuo-Yung in 1946, Jason Pai Piao has starred in many films. However, all of them failed to garner much attention. It wasn't until 1975, when Pai signed a contract with Hong Kong's newly founded television station CTV, that he became a household name with a string of popular costume martial arts TV series. Following CTV's demise in 1978, Pai starred in series for other stations and made a triumphant return to Shaw Brothers.
