Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Boyd Banks started his entertainment career at 17, when he won a contest for Best Stand Up Comedian in Edmonton, Alberta. After spending several years doing comedy in Vancouver, British Columbia, Banks moved to Toronto, where he began acting.
